Precautions for the use of steel wire rope clamps: Do not use for a long time, and should be regularly inspected and scrapped regularly, and cannot be used repeatedly.
(1) The size of the clamp head should be suitable for the thickness of the wire rope. The inner net distance of the U-shaped ring should be 1~3mm larger than the diameter of the wire rope. The net distance is too large and it is not easy to clamp the rope.
(2) When using, tighten the U-shaped bolts until the wire rope is flattened by about 1/3. Since the steel wire rope is deformed after being stressed, the rope must be tightened a second time after the wire rope is stressed to ensure the firmness of the joint. If you need to check whether the rope clamp slips after the wire rope is stressed, you can attach a safety rope clamp to it. The safety rope clamp is installed about 500mm away from the last rope clamp. The rope head is released for a safe bend and then clamped with the main rope. In this way, if the clamp slips, the safety bend will be straightened for easy discovery and timely reinforcement. .
(3) The arrangement distance between the rope clamps is generally about 6 to 7 times the diameter of the wire rope. The rope clamps should be arranged in order. The U-shaped ring part should be clamped on the side of the rope head, and the pressure plate should be placed on the side of the main rope.
(4) Correct arrangement quantity and method:
The number of rope clamps is generally not less than 3-5, the spacing of the rope clamps should be ≥ 6 times the warp of the wire rope, and the distance between the last clamp and the rope head is ≥ 140mm. The number of clamps is determined by the diameter of the wire rope.
3 pieces for ≤18mm,
4 pcs for 18-26mm,
5 pcs for 26-36mm,
There are 6 in 36-44mm,
There are 7 at 44-60mm.
(5) Wire rope rope clamps should be used in combination. When the rope diameter is below 19mm, the rope clamps should be no less than 3, and when the diameter is 19-32mm, no less than 4 should be used. The arrangement distance between the rope clamps is generally about 6 to 8 times the diameter of the wire rope. The rope clamps should be arranged in order. The U-shaped ring part should be clamped on the side of the rope head, and the pressure plate should be placed on the side of the main rope.
After the wire rope clamp is installed, it should be checked whether it is loose after being loaded once or twice. Under normal circumstances, the nut needs to be tightened further.
(6) Pay attention to the following two points when using:
a) The size of the clamp should be suitable for the thickness of the wire rope. The inner net distance of the U-shaped ring should be 1-3mm larger than the diameter of the wire rope. The net distance is too large to clamp the rope, which is prone to accidents.
b) When attaching the clamp head, be sure to tighten the bolts until the rope is flattened by 1/3-1/4 diameter. After the rope is stressed, tighten the clamp head bolts again to ensure that the joint is firm and reliable.
c) The clamp heads should be arranged in order, the U-shaped part is in contact with the rope head, and cannot be in contact with the main rope. If the U-shaped part is in contact with the main rope, the main rope is squashed, and the force is liable to break the wire.
d) In order to check the reliability of the joint and find whether the wire rope is slipping, press another chuck about 500mm behind the last chuck and release the rope end into a "safe bend". In this way, when the wire rope of the joint slips. The "safe bend" is straightened first, and measures should be taken immediately.
