The steel structure hardware turnbuckle screw is used to adjust the tightness of the steel wire rope or other fastening ropes by using the wire teeth to expand and contract. In other operations such as component transportation and cargo tightening, it plays a role in correcting the looseness. Let’s learn about the safe use of turnbuckles.
Generally, turnbuckles are composed of adjusting levers with left and right spiral patterns, as well as nuts and pull rods. During production and research and development, in order to achieve anti-theft and anti-loosening, a fixed plate, cover plate, guide plate, etc. are usually fixed on the adjusting rod, which is connected with the anti-theft and anti-loosening bolt. In this way, only the matching sleeve can be used to easily unscrew the anti-theft bolt. It not only increases the safety performance, but also enables the turnbuckle to work safely. When the anti-theft and anti-loosening device is removed, you don't need to take it down and store it separately. You only need to use the ring guide to slide along the pull rod and move a certain distance, which is convenient and can guarantee the trouble of misplacement and loss. Coupled with simple structure, convenient processing, low cost, etc., it is widely used in major construction teams.
When calculating the rated tensile force of a turnbuckle screw, it should be calculated in accordance with the relevant tensile force of its steel tie rod. That is, the rated tension of the turnbuckle should be calculated according to the specifications of the tie rods that are one level lower. Common tie rod turnbuckles for lifting are: Φ20M22, Φ24M27, Φ28M30, Φ30M32, etc. Other customized turnbuckle screws should be calculated according to the relevant material and model. Common turnbuckle screws are Q235 steel, 45# steel, 40Cr, Q345, 35CrMoA and other materials.
